Cluster Concept

The Miramichi Forestry and Metal Manufacturing cluster is made up of forestry and metal manufacturing companies in the Miramichi Region. 

 

A forest cluster is a concentration of forest-based expertise. It encompasses, among other things, the manufacture of forest industry products, marketing and product development, the sector's automation know-how, consulting, the development and manufacture of machines and equipment, forestry activities and suppliers, relevant training and research as well as other industry support services, and emerging biotechnology.
