Manufactures and markets products including plywood, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), sealed composite insulating panels (SCIP) and scaffold planks.   J D Irving Limited Operates sawmills, pulp, tissue, paper and corrugating medium mills, providing the wood fibre supply from their Woodlands Division.  The company owns 3.4 million acres (1.37 million hectares) of timberland in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Maine.   Newcastle Lumber Company Newcastle Lumber Co. Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of softwood lumber, hogged fuel and wood chips. They export to the Eastern and Central United States.

Value-added (exporting) Firms Eastwind Specialty Veneers Manufactures thin pieces of veneer sliced from lumber or cants produced at N.B. sawmills. The product created is very thin hardwood and softwood face veneer, that is glued and pressed onto plywood, door and furniture components.   Miramichi Timber Frames Services include design, engineering, manufacturing and erection of traditional timber frames.
